II. Born Of A Virgin.
- Psalms 22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou
art my God from my mother’s belly.
- Psalms 69:8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren,
and an alien unto my mother’s children.
- Psalms 86:16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me;
give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of
thine handmaid.
- Psalms 116:16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy
servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my
bonds.
- Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and
shall call his name Immanuel.
- Isaiah 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye
people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb;
from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my
name.
- Micah 5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the
time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the
remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of
Israel.
- Jeremiah 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou
backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing
in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
- Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was
sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
- Luke 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was
Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name
was Mary.

Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee:

saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this
should be.
- Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary:
for thou hast found favour with God.
- Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb,
and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
- Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the
Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him
the throne of his father David:
- Luke 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob
for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
- Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this
be, seeing I know not a man?
- Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the
Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy
thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son
of God.
The First Series Describes Christ in his human nature, as
the promised Seed of the Woman, in the grand charter of our
Redemption, Gen. 3:15; and his pedigree, sufferings, and
glory in his successive manifestations of himself until the
end of the world.
The Second Series describes His Character and offices,
human and divine.
