XVI. The God Of Israel.
- Exodus 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there
was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire
stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his
clearness.
- Exodus 24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of
Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat
and drink.
- Joshua 7:19 And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I
pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make
confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done;
hide it not from me.
- Judges 11:23 So now the LORD God of Israel hath
dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel,
and shouldest thou possess it?
- 1 Samuel 5:11 So they sent and gathered together all
the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark
of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place,
that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly
destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was
very heavy there.

- Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of
darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou
mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name,
am the God of Israel.

was there, according to the vision that I saw in the
plain.
- Matthew 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered,
when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole,
the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified
the God of Israel.
- Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest
the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,
how often would I have gathered thy children together, even
as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye
would not!
- John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My
Lord and my God.
The First Series Describes Christ in his human nature, as
the promised Seed of the Woman, in the grand charter of our
Redemption, Gen. 3:15; and his pedigree, sufferings, and
glory in his successive manifestations of himself until the
end of the world.
The Second Series describes His Character and offices,
human and divine.
